1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Use apply when you access or use the No Buy iPhone application, its extensions, or this website. By using No Buy, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

“No Buy,” “the app,” and “the service” refer to the No Buy iOS application, its Screen Time and Share extensions, and this website. “Operator” refers to the person or legal entity responsible for No Buy.

Relationship to Apple’s terms

The current No Buy app uses Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement for the licensed iOS application. These Terms supplement that agreement for No Buy-specific features and the website. If these Terms conflict with Apple’s Standard EULA on a matter governed by that EULA, Apple’s Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict.

2. Purpose and your decisions

No Buy is a self-guided reflection and habit-support tool. It can help you create waiting periods around possible purchases, record decisions, notice shopping triggers, create personal recovery plans, track self-reported goal progress, schedule reminders, and optionally add friction before individually selected apps open.

You remain responsible for every purchase, cancellation, return, financial decision, and use of a third-party retailer. No Buy does not determine whether a purchase is right or wrong. A recorded goal amount is a user-entered estimate; No Buy does not connect to bank accounts, move money, verify savings, or promise a financial outcome.

3. Subscriptions, trials, billing, and restore

No Buy offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. An active No Buy Premium subscription is required to enter the main app after onboarding. The app displays the available plan, localized price, billing period, and any introductory offer using current App Store information. Website copy does not replace the purchase disclosures presented by Apple.

• Payment is charged by Apple to the Apple Account used for the purchase.
• A free trial appears only when Apple and RevenueCat report that the selected plan is eligible. Do not assume a trial is available unless the app shows it.
• A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled according to Apple’s rules before the next renewal.
• You can manage or cancel through Apple’s subscription settings. Cancellation ordinarily leaves access active until the end of the paid period, subject to Apple’s billing and refund actions.
• Apple handles payment details, billing disputes, cancellation, and refund decisions. The operator does not store your full payment-card information.
• The production paywall includes Restore Purchases for an existing subscription associated with the Apple Account.

No Buy uses RevenueCat to load App Store plans, validate purchase status, restore purchases, and determine whether the relevant entitlement is active. Network, Apple, or RevenueCat outages can temporarily delay plan loading or entitlement updates. The app attempts to preserve the last locally known entitlement state during temporary network failures, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

The features included in a subscription are the features described in the app at the time of purchase. The operator may improve, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and Apple’s rules.

4. Shopping App Protection and Apple Screen Time

Shopping App Protection is optional and depends on Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks, compatible iOS software, the required authorization, and the apps you select.

• No Buy protects only individual apps you select through Apple’s picker. It does not automatically determine which apps are shopping apps.
• No Buy does not use category or website selections and does not promise to block shopping websites, app categories, purchases made elsewhere, or every path to a purchase.
• Apple gives No Buy opaque application tokens rather than app names or bundle identifiers.
• The current shield lets you choose urge support or grant the selected app temporary access for 15 minutes. Operating-system behavior can vary by iOS version.
• You can turn protection off, change selected apps, or revoke Screen Time authorization.

A restriction may fail, arrive late, stop after a permission or operating-system change, or behave differently after an update or reinstall. No Buy is a deliberate friction tool, not a parental-control guarantee, security product, transaction blocker, or promise that a purchase cannot occur.

5. Your content, local storage, and reminders

You may enter or select names, goals, financial amounts, product details, URLs, photos, motivations, triggers, notes, and reflections. You retain whatever rights you have in that content. You are responsible for having permission to use any photo or content you add or share and for not using No Buy to store unlawful or rights-infringing material.

No Buy has no user-account or cloud-sync system. Personal activity is stored locally and may be included in Apple-managed device backups depending on your settings. A device failure, app deletion, operating-system change, low storage condition, failed backup, unsupported downgrade, or other event can cause data loss. Keep any information you cannot afford to lose somewhere appropriate outside No Buy.

The Share extension processes only material you deliberately share to it. Review and edit the imported draft before starting a purchase pause. Retailers and source apps control what information their share sheets provide, so names, prices, URLs, or images may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Local notifications are convenience reminders, not guaranteed alarms. Delivery depends on iOS authorization, notification settings, Focus modes, device state, time changes, and system scheduling. Do not rely on No Buy notifications for safety-critical or time-critical purposes.

The app’s “Delete activity data” control removes specified activity but intentionally retains configuration such as selected temptations, goal choice and target, default waiting rule, shopping-protection selection, and subscription state. 6. Apple, RevenueCat, retailers, and external services

No Buy depends on third-party platforms and services, including Apple for app distribution, purchases, system permissions, Screen Time, photo selection, notifications, Messages routing, and device backups, and RevenueCat for subscription infrastructure. Their own agreements and privacy policies apply to their services.

If a recovery plan says to contact someone, No Buy only asks iOS to open Messages. You choose the recipient and message. No Buy is not responsible for whether another person is available or how they respond.

Saved product links can open retailer or other third-party websites after confirmation. No Buy does not control their content, prices, availability, claims, security, privacy practices, orders, returns, or customer service. A link does not mean No Buy endorses the retailer or product.

Third-party outages, policy changes, permission changes, or platform decisions may affect No Buy. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

7. Acceptable use, license, and ownership

Subject to these Terms and Apple’s Standard EULA, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use No Buy on supported Apple devices for lawful, non-commercial purposes.

You must not:

• Use No Buy unlawfully, fraudulently, or to violate another person’s rights.
• Attempt to interfere with, bypass, overload, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the app, website, purchase systems, or supporting services.
• Reverse engineer, redistribute, sell, sublicense, copy, or create derivative works from No Buy except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with No Buy or use its branding in a way that suggests endorsement.

The No Buy software, website, design, text, artwork, branding, and other supplied content are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Apple names and marks belong to Apple; RevenueCat names and marks belong to RevenueCat.

8. Availability, warranties, and limitation of liability

No guaranteed outcome

No Buy does not guarantee that an urge will pass, an app will always remain shielded, a notification will arrive, a purchase will be avoided, money will be saved, a goal will be reached, or any health, recovery, or financial outcome will occur. Insights are generated from information you enter and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Service provided as available

To the maximum extent permitted by law, No Buy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied or express warranties beyond any warranty that cannot legally be excluded. The operator does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or permanently available operation, compatibility with every device or third-party app, or preservation of local data.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; lost data, opportunity, revenue, or savings; purchases, retailer disputes, or third-party conduct; or loss arising from reliance on reminders, insights, Screen Time protection, or self-guided content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or removes mandatory consumer rights.

9. Changes, suspension, and contact

The operator may update No Buy and these Terms to reflect feature, security, legal, or service-provider changes. Updated Terms should be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Where law requires, material changes will receive additional notice or consent.

You can stop using No Buy at any time. Deleting the app does not itself cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed through Apple. The operator may suspend or discontinue access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, platform requirements, misuse, or service closure, subject to applicable law.
